The company was founded by Greg Bradley and has grown significantly in recent years. To meet this growth, and increased customer demand both in terms of volume and complexity, there has been major investment in developing the team and enhancing manufacturing capability. The company has an impressive 140,000 sq. ft manufacturing and distribution facility in Newtownabbey.

This has enabled BLK BOX to consolidate their offices, R&D, manufacturing, and distribution in one central location.

The successful individual will support, lead and mentor the finance team.

In addition, you will support the business and its growth objectives.

The Role

The role will have a broad mix of financial reporting and accounting, you would lead the monthly, quarterly and year end close process, be involved with implementing new systems and building out the finance business partnering process.

Overview


  • Monthly Management Accounts preparation
  • Financial control of all aspects of working capital particularly debtors, stock, and creditors.
  • Financial control of all fixed assets in the manufacturing department
  • Financial budgeting, forecasting, and planning.
  • Decision support for all aspects of the department aimed at improving overall performance.
  • Development and reporting of financial and other KPI s for the department
  • Ad hoc work including investment analysis to support operational decisions.
  • Compliance with all taxation and UK & IE VAT regulations.
  • Responsibility for weekly and monthly payroll.
  • Liaising with internal and external stakeholders
  • Cashflow forecasting
  • Audit ownership
  • Mentoring of the finance team


We are looking for a highly capable Qualified Accountant who wants to work in a busy and growing company. You will take ownership and be disciplined and methodical in your approach to the responsibilities of the role.

You MUST be a team player.

The Person

  • Qualified Accountant ideally with 3-5 years PQE
  • Experience in the Manufacturing/Engineering Sector is an advantage but not a requirement.
  • A good understanding of manufacturing processes is an advantage.
  • Demonstrable record of accomplishment of success in a fast-paced growing business
  • Experience of working with a leading ERP system
  • Accuracy and skills in calculating figures.
  • Strong attention to detail; a right first-time attitude and approach.
  • Ability to work in a busy environment, working to tight deadlines.
  • Strong excel skills.
