Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and creative Product Marketer to join our Commercial Team. This role is pivotal in bridging the gap between our engineering and marketing departments, ensuring that our products are not only technically robust but also effectively communicated to our target audience. The ideal candidate will be passionate about fitness, have a deep understanding of the sports and exercise industry, and possess strong technical skills in both product development and marketing.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Product Positioning: Develop and refine the value proposition for BLK BOX products, creating key messages that resonate with our target audience in the fitness and strength equipment markets.
  • Product Launches: Coordinate and execute product launches, including the creation of marketing materials, event organisation, and collaboration with the engineering team to ensure products meet market expectations.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with the engineering team to ensure that the technical aspects of our products are effectively communicated to the marketing team. Facilitate cross-departmental collaboration to align product development with market needs.
  • Content Creation: Help develop high-quality, product-related content, including brochures, website copy, videos, and other marketing collateral. Ensure all content aligns with the brand’s voice and effectively communicates the product’s benefits and features.
  • Technical Understanding: Maintain a solid understanding of the technical aspects of BLK BOX products. Use this knowledge to effectively communicate product features and benefits to both internal teams and external customers.
  • Creativity: Leverage innovative thinking to develop compelling and effective marketing campaigns that drive product awareness and sales. Stay current with industry trends to bring fresh ideas to the table.

Key Systems and Tools:

  • SolidWorks & KeyShot (or similar CAD rendering software): Proficiency in these tools is essential for creating and manipulating product designs and visuals.
  • Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign & Illustrator): Must be proficient in creating high-quality marketing materials and product visuals.
  • MS Office (PowerPoint): Strong skills in PowerPoint are required for creating presentations and sales enablement materials.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Product Design, Engineering, or a related field. A background in sports or exercise science is a plus.
  • Experience: 2+ years of experience in product marketing, preferably in a physical products environment. Experience in the fitness or sports industry is highly desirable.

  • Creative & Analytical Mindset: Strong creative skills with the ability to develop innovative marketing campaigns. Analytical skills to assess market trends and customer feedback effectively.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to create compelling content and presentations.
  • Technical Aptitude: Ability to understand and communicate complex technical information. Previous experience working closely with engineering teams is a plus.
  • Passion for Fitness: A deep passion for sport and fitness, with knowledge of current trends and practices in the industry.
