PALLET DELIVERY
All deliveries are kerbside, it will be your responsibility to remove the items from the pallet on arrival and dispose of the pallet. You will receive an email from our Logistics team with a date of delivery. If you require an alternative delivery date or if there are any access restrictions to your property, please let us know within 24 hours before delivery by emailing team@blkboxfitness.com. Please be aware failure to do so may result in additional delivery charges.

What diameter is the bars grip?
The BLK BOX Oly Bar – 20kg offers a 28 mm grip which is IWF standard for 20kg barbells.
What plates is the bar compatible with?
The BLK BOX Oly Bar – 20kg is compatible with all BLK BOX Weightlifting Plates and Bumpers, along with all change plates and collars.
How many plates can it hold?
This will depend on which plates you own, but for comparison, with its two 415mm sleeves the BLK BOX Oly Bar – 20kg can hold the below when used with lock jaw collars:

What IWF Spec if the bar designed to?
The BLK BOX Oly Bar meets all IWF Specifications for weightlifting competition, meeting the requirements for knurl, knurl marking, tolerances, overall dimensions and weight.
How durable is the bars finish?
The BLK BOX Oly Bar – 20kg features a hardened chrome finish, offering a high level of corrosion resistance and durability while allowing the athlete to feel the knurl. We recommend regular cleaning of the bar using a barbell brush.
Why are bearings important?
Bearings are introduced into barbells to ensure a smooth and/or fast spin when performing Olympic weightlifting movements. This spin reduces the force exerted on an athlete’s wrists during these movements. The BLK BOX Oly Bar has 10 sets of needle bearings, ensuring a smooth spin under heavy loads and reducing the torque experienced by athletes during the movements.
Why is whip important?
Barbell whip is phenomenon best recognised where the bar seems to bend during a movement, then snap back into its straight position. It allows the athlete to introduce momentum into their lifts that is caused but the bar, and not by them. A lifter can use the whip of the bar to help propel the weight upward adding incremental gains to their training. Although it removes some stability from the bar, a bar with high whip can handle a lot more weight before bending permanently than a bar with lower whip.
