Location: Hybrid – BLK BOX HQ

Salary: £28–35k (DOE)

The Role

As a CRM & Email Marketing Lead, you will take ownership of BLK BOX’s email and CRM programmes across both consumer (D2C) and commercial (B2B) audiences. You’ll build smarter customer journeys, improve retention, and turn data into campaigns that drive revenue, working closely with Marketing, E-commerce, Sales, and Customer Service.

This is a hands-on role: plan, build, send, test, report, and optimise campaigns, with scope to shape how BLK BOX communicates at every stage of the customer lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

  • Customer Journeys: Map, build, and improve lifecycle journeys from sign-up/enquiry through to repeat purchase and retention (D2C + B2B).
  • Campaign Planning: Own the email calendar, ensuring alignment with product launches, trading priorities, content, and key accounts.
  • Automations & Flows: Build, manage, and optimise automated flows (welcome, browse/cart, post-purchase, replenishment, win-back, lead nurture).
  • Segmentation: Create and maintain targeted segments using behavioural and transactional data.
  • Build & QA: Create and test email/SMS comms in Klaviyo, ensuring best practice on deliverability, design, and accessibility.
  • Testing & Optimisation: Run A/B tests to improve open rates, CTR, conversion, and revenue per recipient.
  • Reporting: Track performance weekly/monthly, sharing insights with the wider team.
  • Data & Integrations: Maintain data hygiene, tagging, and platform integrations (Shopify/FreshSales/Klaviyo).
  • Compliance: Maintain GDPR best practice, consent management, and preference handling.

Skills & Experience

  • 2+ years in a CRM, email, or lifecycle marketing role.
  • Hands-on experience with Klaviyo (preferred) and working knowledge of FreshSales or similar CRM tools.
  • Strong grasp of segmentation, automation logic, and performance analysis.
  • Comfortable interpreting data and turning it into practical improvements.
  • Confident communicator working across marketing, sales, e-commerce, and customer service.
  • Detail-focused, organised, and able to deliver at pace.

Bonus Skills

  • Experience with Shopify, GA4, Looker Studio, or attribution reporting.
  • Basic HTML/CSS for email tweaks.
  • Experience supporting B2B lead nurturing alongside D2C retention.
