Frequently Asked Questions

Which attachments fit my BLK BOX rack?

Match attachments to the exact rack series first. BLK BOX separates attachments for 1 Series, 3 Series and 5 Series, with options including spotting arms, dip stations, J-Hooks, storage, cable systems, landmines, wall-ball targets and performance attachments. Check the product compatibility rather than choosing by appearance alone.

Can I add a cable system to my existing rack?

Yes, on compatible racks. 1 Series has dedicated Compact and Full Rack Cable Column Kits, while 3 and 5 Series can be upgraded with NEXUS kits. Confirm your rack model, height and generation before ordering the cable system.

Which attachments should I buy for more exercise options?

Choose attachments by the exercises missing from your current setup. Spotting arms or straps add safety for barbell work, a dip station adds bodyweight pressing, a landmine adds rotational and angled barbell work, cable systems add adjustable resistance, and storage attachments improve organisation without adding a separate storage frame.

Do I need extra brackets or hardware to fit this attachment?

Some attachments mount directly to a compatible upright, while others require dedicated brackets, pins, crossmembers or cable components. Confirm what is supplied with the attachment and what must already be fitted to the rack before ordering.

How can I identify the series and generation of my existing rack?

Check the rack product name, upright size, hole spacing, hardware size and height. The current ranges use different frameworks: 1 Series 60x60x3mm, 3 Series 70x70x3mm and 5 Series 80x80x3mm, so the series can usually be identified from those measurements and the product design.

Will current attachments fit a previous Samson or Goliath BLK BOX rack?

The 1 and 3 series continues to serve fittings in line with a legacy rack. Older Goliath, Samson and previous-generation products can use different upright sizes, hole spacing or mounting hardware, so compare the exact product code and measurements or confirm compatibility with the sales team before ordering.

Which upright and hole measurements do I need to check?

The key checks are upright cross-section, hole diameter/hardware size, hole spacing and the clear mounting position. Current 1, 3 and 5 Series use different upright dimensions and hardware, while 5 Series also uses Westside spacing through the main lifting zone.

Does adding an attachment change the rack's permitted loading?

Adding an attachment does not create one universal new rack load rating. Stay within the rack’s stated capacity and any attachment-specific limit, and confirm the limit where it is not published.

How much extra clearance do jammer arms or a dip station need?

Allow clearance for the full movement of the attachment and the athlete, not only the mounting point. Jammer arms project forward through a large arc, while a dip station needs side and front working space; check the attachment dimensions against plate storage, walls and neighbouring stations before fitting.

Can this attachment be used while plate storage remains fitted?

It depends on the rack layout. Plate storage can interfere with the travel of some attachments or reduce access to the working station, so plan the attachment position and stored plate diameter together. On relevant 3 and 5 Series configurations, allow 300mm clearance from the wall on either side of stored plates.

Can I fit the attachment myself using the supplied instructions?

Many attachments can be added to an existing compatible rack using the supplied fixing method, but the exact installation depends on the attachment and rack. If an attachment changes the stability or loading of the rack, follow the product-specific installation requirements rather than treating it as a simple accessory fit.

Which upgrade adds the exercises I need with the fewest extra components?

Prioritise the attachment that adds the largest movement category for your training programme. For most strength setups, safeties come before optional accessories, after that, a cable kit can add the broadest exercise range, while a landmine or dip station is a lower-cost way to add specific movements with fewer components.
