Designed in Belfast, the 1 Series is an off-the-shelf range with a rapid lead time and straightforward installation, built to the same BLK BOX quality standard as the rest of the range. Made from 60x60x3mm laser-cut steel with a black powder coat finish, rigs and power racks are available in 2.2m or 2.4m tall, feature a notch system for hole separation, and come with sandwich J-hooks as standard.
The 1 Series suits PT studios, garage gyms and home setups where budget and space efficiency matter alongside durability, offering a dependable entry point into BLK BOX's rig and rack range without the lead time of a fully custom build. The notch-style hole separation keeps attachment swaps quick between sessions, which matters in smaller studios running back-to-back client bookings.
Because it's an off-the-shelf design rather than a made-to-order build, the 1 Series is typically the fastest range to get installed and training on - a practical option for anyone opening a new space on a tighter timeline. It pairs well with a starter set of rack attachments for facilities wanting to expand functionality without upgrading the base rack.
Is the 1 and 3 Series suitable for home gyms and commercial use?
Absolutely. With a more accessible price point, teamed up with quick installation and rapid delivery, the 1 Series is ideal for home gym setups. While the 3 Series is ideal for independent gyms and group training environments.
Can I expand or upgrade the 1 Series later?
Yes - you can maximise space with add-on storage shelves, or enhance functionality with our range of attachments like safety arms, pull-up handles, or cable column kits.
Is the 1 Series customisable?
While the 1 Series is available in black only, you can customise your rack with a single-layer brand plate and a wide range of compatible BLK BOX attachments, including dip stations, band pegs, and landmines.
What’s the steel spec and hole spacing for the 1 Series?
The 1 Series is constructed from 60x60x3mm steel with 75mm hole spacing. It includes sandwich J-Hooks as standard.
What makes the 1 Series ideal for PT studios or space-conscious facilities?
The 1 Series features a 2.2m height, compact footprint, and rapid delivery - making it perfect for space-conscious facilities that need high-quality strength equipment, fast. It's also incredibly easy to assemble with printed guides and digital support.
