Matching accessories to your bar

Collars and sleeves need to match the bar they clamp to, so it's worth knowing the olympic bar diameter you're working with before ordering - standard Olympic sleeves are 50mm, and collars sized for them won't grip a smaller shaft. Our perfect barbell guide walks through which bar suits which training style, from technique work to heavy pulls.

Bars, plates and storage

Accessories only help if the bar and plates work together, which is why a matched barbell and plates set saves checking collar fit and plate bore separately. Browse the full utility barbells range for everyday training bars.

Where bars are changed often, loading plates each time slows a session down: pre-loaded barbells are the faster option for circuits and class formats, and the wider fixed barbell range covers the usual weight increments. Keep bars off the floor between sets with a single barbell holder, which protects both the knurling and the sleeve bearings.
