Job Title: Welder Fabricator (3-6 Month Fixed Term Contract)

As demand for BLK BOX equipment continues to grow, we are expanding our welding and fabrication team at our Belfast headquarters. This is an opportunity to manufacture premium strength equipment used in some of the most unique and high-performing training facilities across the UK, Ireland, Europe and beyond.
The Opportunity
As a Welder Fabricator, you will play a key role in the production of BLK BOX equipment, supporting the welding, fabrication and assembly of world-class strength and conditioning products. Working within a fast-paced manufacturing environment, you will help maintain the high standards of quality, precision and durability that BLK BOX is known for globally.
Hours of Work:
Dayshift: Monday–Thursday 06:00–16:15
Key Responsibilities:
Welding & Fabrication
- MIG welding of mild steel tube and flat sections.
- Interpret engineering drawings and weld symbols accurately.
- Perform welding operations to required design specifications.
- Set machine parameters and prepare materials for production.
- Load jigs, tack assemblies and support fabrication processes.
Production & Assembly
- Grind, dress and fettle fabricated components.
- Saw and drill components as required.
- Support final product assembly when needed.
- Maintain quality standards across all stages of production.
- Ensure safe working practices are followed at all times.
Your Profile:
- Experience MIG welding mild steel (3mm, 6mm, 8mm and 10mm).
- Ability to fabricate parts from engineering drawings.
- Experience grinding, dressing and fettling components.
- Comfortable working independently and within a team environment.
- Able to work with minimal supervision and strong attention to detail.
- Adaptable within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Formal welding certifications advantageous.
