The Journey So Far
Our story began in 2012, when Greg Bradley founded EFP Gyms after spotting a gap in the market for athlete-focused facilities.
EFP began manufacturing products on-site to ensure high quality and fast delivery. In 2015, EFP rebranded to BLK BOX to better reflect its evolving identity.
With a growing client list and thousands of installs to look back on, the company is positioned for continued growth and innovation for 2024 and beyond.

Global Contract
BLK BOX secures a global contract with PureGym to supply functional, free weights, studio, and accessory equipment, supporting over five hundred gyms and one million members across the UK, Europe, America, and the Middle East.

New Leadership
BLK BOX moved to a new HQ just outside of Belfast, three times the size of the previous location, offering plenty of space for future growth and expansion.

Record Growth
The busiest year to date saw manufacturing output double, HQ expansion, and the installation of three new cutting-edge machines. The team grew to over 65 members.

Investment & Expansion
Further investments led to the installation of the first laser cutting machine and a contract with PureGym, resulting in the design and installation of over 150 PureGyms across the UK.

Iconic Inspiration
The iconic cranes, Samson and Goliath, inspired the BLK BOX Rig and Racks range.

HQ Move
The team moved to the Titanic Quarter in Belfast, with more space and increased capacity.

Customisation & E-Commerce
A powder-coating machine was bought to expand manufacturing capabilities, allowing clients to customise their rigs and racks. An e-commerce website was created for online orders and home delivery.

Birth of BLK BOX
Realising the name EFP Gyms no longer fit, the BLK BOX brand was born.

Manufacturing Began
To ensure high-quality products and the shortest lead times, manufacturing began on-site. The client list expanded to include Ulster Rugby.

Laying Foundations
Gaining a loyal base of home gym users and local sports clubs, including Ireland Rugby, the team quickly outgrew the garage and set up HQ in Belfast.
