Inside the Build: Represent, On a mission
As part of Represent Clothing’s expansion into their 30,000 sq. ft Manchester headquarters, co-founders George and Michael Heaton wanted to create more than just a workplace. They wanted a space where their team could connect, push themselves, and grow together.
After working with BLK BOX on his home gym, George Heaton returned to the team to bring the same level of precision and quality to Represent HQ.

The Brief
The vision for the new Represent HQ gym was to design an adaptable training space that supports coach-led functional fitness sessions while fostering team connection and collaboration. The vision was to create a space where employees could come together, build resilience, and develop the same grit and determination that define the Represent brand.
Since its installation, the gym has become exactly that, a space for the 70-strong team to train, bond, and reset before stepping into the creative workspace.
The Process
To kick off the project, George and Michael Heaton visited BLK BOX HQ in Belfast to meet the team, get a tour of the warehouse, and test custom design options for their new gym. This ensured every detail aligned with Represent’s vision for quality, functionality, and style.
The final design featured Utility Flooring, chosen for its durability, impact protection, and long-lasting performance, ideal for functional training environments. The gym was kitted out with a 3 Series Wall Mounted Rig, custom branded wall ball targets, Exercise Sandbags, storage solutions, and a 45 Degree Leg Press.
To support a complete training experience, the space also includes a Dual Adjustable Pulley, Hex Dumbbells with storage, cardio machines, and a GHD Pro, combining performance and style in a layout built to last.
The Result
The finished space seamlessly fuses quality with functionality. Its clean, minimal design mirrors the black-and-white interior of the Represent office, creating a cohesive look that feels both premium and purposeful.
