Let the Games Begin - CrossFit Games 2022

They've arrived, the pinnacle event of the fitness world, the CrossFit Games. The fitness, grit, determination and the will to win will be put to the test on the biggest stage.

Once again, 40 of the world's fittest men and women gather to do battle in Madison, Wisconsin. Each one of them trying to gain the unrivalled title of 'Fittest on Earth'.

The field has been whittled down from the 300,000 CrossFit Open entrants to these elite athletes. The 2022 games also see the highest prize pool ever, with $2,845,000 up for grabs across the various categories. The stakes have never been higher.

Events announced so far:

CrossFit Games

Emma McQuaid -

We are exceptionally proud to have played a part in Emma's road to the games. From her victory at Wodapalooza to placing 2nd at the European Games Qualification Event in London. Emma has smashed it.

Emma McQuaid

(Emma McQuaid - Irish CrossFit Athlete)

We've seen first-hand the work she puts in daily and she truly epitomises the word elite. Her recent body of work has her on top form going into the biggest event of the year. Looking to build on last year's incredible 12th place, some Game's insiders are expecting a podium finish for the Irish athlete.

After last year's games, we caught up with Emma:

"I want to be the most well rounded athlete I can, so I will be focusing on my endurance running, bike, swimming, rowing and every other area I can improve on for next year.”

Given the obvious emphasis on cardio for the released events, we are expecting McQuaid to be comfortable in the fray. To say we are excited is an understatement.

LFG!!

Lucy McGonigle -

Lucy McGonigle

(Lucy McGonigle, Irish CrossFit Athlete)

Europe's top prospect. Lucy is most definitely going to the Games at peak performance. Blowing the competition out of the water to place 1st in both the Quarter Finals and Semis, she is eyeing up the top of the podium.

Competing in the 14-15 Year Old Girl's category, we are honoured to support Lucy on her road to the games. Her commitment and drive to compete at such a high-level, at such a young age is incredible.

To be competing at such a high level, at such a young age, Lucy's journey and vision for her CrossFit career extends far beyond this event. While it will be great to see her inevitably smash it, it is safe to say her true aim in the coming years is that Women's Elite title.

We can't wait to support her on her journey.
