CURRENT OPPORTUNITIES

As BLK BOX continues to grow and dominate the gym equipment market, the reliance on an efficient and effective fulfilment centre is crucial to ensure we continue to deliver on our promises to our clients. We need our high volume and fast paced warehouse to be a well-oiled machine, driven by a client-centric mentality.

In order to achieve this, we are looking for an experienced Warehouse Supervisor to join our team to manage and oversee all daily warehouse activities. To be successful as a Warehouse Supervisor you should be experienced in optimizing warehousing processes and be an effective team leader. An outstanding Warehouse Supervisor should be dependable and have excellent organisational and time management skills.

This is a ‘hands-on’ role in the warehouse supporting the Warehouse Manager.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Your responsibilities will include, but aren’t limited to:

• Oversee daily warehouse operations ensuring the warehouse operates at peak efficiency, with client satisfaction being the primary goal, by supervising, organising, directing, and training warehouse team members.

• Oversee the receiving, handling, storing, picking, and packing activities within the warehouse, ensuring quality standards are met at every turn.

• Schedule and oversee workflow to meet the demands of the business and maximise efficiency.

• Develop and implement warehouse operation system improvements by leading continuous improvement projects.

• Troubleshoots all fulfilment complaints to find the cause, help resolve the issue, and prevent reoccurrence.

• Maintain a safe and healthy work environment by establishing, following, and enforcing standards and procedures and complying with legal regulations.

At BLK BOX, our goal is to fulfil client orders in the shortest lead time in the industry.  As the volume of sales increase, so do stock and purchasing demands. Therefore we are seeking a pro-active, bright and hardworking Purchasing Assistant to join our Purchasing Team to ensure we have the stock at HQ to not only meet these lead times, but to deliver above and beyond client expectations.

As Purchasing Assistant, you will be responsible for proactively and reactively pricing and purchasing a wide range of materials, products, and packaging in accordance with the purchasing procedures. The successful candidate will need to be highly analytical, an excellent communicator and be able to manage their own workload efficiently in a fast-paced environment. 

RESPONSIBILITIES

Your responsibilities will include, but aren’t limited to:

• Work closely with, and support the Purchasing Manager, on all buying activities to achieve the company strategy goals.

• Perform day-to-day procurement activities, including purchasing of manufacturing components, third party products and packaging as well as delivery follow up to ensure goods are delivered within time lead.

• Preparation and processing of purchase orders.

• Manage inventory levels to ensure sufficient stock is available at all times to facilitate production and fulfilment of orders.

• Prepare and issue weekly stock reports and escalate overstock/under-stock situations.

• Monitor and forecast upcoming levels of demand using historical and future sales data.

• Liaise and build relationships with key suppliers in order to receive timely and accurate information.  Liaise with suppliers on quotations, lead time and minimum quality standards.  Negotiate contracts with suppliers to obtain best price and service. 

• Prepare and maintain price lists.

• Use the MRP system to forecast purchasing requirements.

• Implement change and develop new processes to better procure goods and services.

• Oversee continuous improvement opportunities related to all key supply chain drivers (reorder point, order quantities, etc).

• Communicate effectively with internal teams, particularly our warehouse, manufacturing and sales teams.

THE IDEAL PERSON 

• A degree in supply chain management, business or a relevant subject.

• Experience in procurement and inventory management preferably within a manufacturing environment.

• Passionate about the fitness industry with knowledge of fitness equipment.

• Strong negotiation and communication skills with the ability to influence suppliers to manage long and immediate term supply planning to meet projected customer demands.

• Proficient in computer systems with experience of MRP/ERP system being an advantage.

• Commercial awareness and the ability to manage long term supply planning and influence decisions that result in excellent inventory availability.

• Excellent analytical, numerical and data analysis skills.

• High-levels of accuracy and attention to detail is a must.

As our business continues to grow at a phenomenal rate, we need to continue to spread the word about what we do as a company. That’s where you, the new Marketing Executive comes in. We want to develop our marketing strategy and create not only a great first impression but an impression that lasts. You will develop world class content that connects us to our target audience.

RESPONSIBILITIES 

Your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

• Help produce company collateral and related marketing materials such as social media, press releases, email marketing, catalogues, product specifications and website content.

• Planning and creating product & marketing campaigns

• Write and proofread marketing copy for both online and print campaigns

• Updating the BLK BOX website daily, including product pages, imagery, blog posts and case studies.

• Develop new marketing initiatives such as social media, events or crossover collaborations with our external partnerships to strengthen engagement with our clients.

• Monitor company’s branding applications across the projects’ marketing materials to deliver a consistent brand image

• Assist with any other tasks needed to within the marketing department and wider business.

THE IDEAL PERSON

• Experience of applying creative thinking, developing engaging, creative concepts and producing web and social media content.

• Experience of storytelling and ability to write, product and edit quality content.

• Strong written communication skills (verbal communication skills help too of course! )

• Experience of Adobe (Photoshop, Illustrator or InDesign is desirable)

An understanding and experience with SEO, web analytics and programmes such as Google AdWords and Shopify is also desirable.
