Aston Villa Football Club
We are delighted to share one of our most recent projects completed for Aston Villa Football Club. The brand new £6m state of the art performance centre at Bodymoor Heath, was officially opened earlier this month by Aston Villa supporter and President of the Football Association, HRH The Duke of Cambridge.
The new high-performance facility features an indoor 50-metre running track, strength and conditioning suite and a match analysis room. Work is continuing with the creation of multi-media analysis facilities, a mini auditorium, individual player coaching and meeting areas, all to be complete in time for pre-season training in July 2021.
BLK BOX have been supporting Aston Villa since 2016/17, having provided racks in their previous facility. We were thrilled to be awarded the tender for this project and be able to continue to support the club. The brand new 12,000 sq. ft facility has been designed to the highest standards and will be used by the Men’s first team, the Women’s teams and the Academy Squads.
Throughout the 2-year process, the BLK BOX team worked closely with Aston Villa’s Strength & Conditioning team, from the initial planning and design stages right through to project installation, completion and aftercare. It was crucial that the needs of all players were considered to produce a training facility designed to last.
The BLK BOX Samson series has been designed specifically for high performance environments and features heavily throughout the facility. Custom branded Samson Full Racks with Dip Stations, Jammer Arms, Safety Straps and Rig Mounted Hip Thruster attachments have been installed alongside more specialist high performance equipment including Anti-Gravity Treadmills, Rack Integrated Smith Machines, Isometric Testing Racks, Inlaid Force Decks, Hyperice Recovery Suites and various areas of Plyometric Flooring. 
The mission of the Aston Villa board since 2018 has been to bring their performance, strength, conditioning, rehabilitation, and sports therapy functions up to 21st century standards, creating an environment for elite sports. Today, Aston Villa has a training ground it can truly be proud of and we are honoured to have worked with them on this project.
