The Best of 2025: Corporate and Wellness Installs We Loved

This year brought some incredible projects across hotels, wellness destinations and corporate spaces. Each facility showed how thoughtful design, smart equipment choices and a clear purpose can shape the way people move, train and recover. We have highlighted three themes that defined the standout installs of 2025.

Hotel Wellness: Carlton Hotel Dublin

For the Carlton Hotel, the goal was clear. Guests needed a fitness suite that felt modern and capable, without losing the warm, welcoming feel that defines the hotel experience. The result is a refreshed training space that blends efficient layout, premium equipment and a clean aesthetic to support every style of movement.

Key Features

  • Custom 1 Series Half Racks

  • HD Bumper Weight Plates and Belfast Bars

  • 3 Tier Basecamp Storage

  • Adjustable Benches

This installation shows how a compact gym can still deliver a complete strength and conditioning offering when design, equipment choice and flow are planned with intention. Guests can train for endurance, mobility, strength or high intensity sessions, all within a space that feels stylish, balanced and easy to navigate.

Project Insight

The Carlton upgrade highlights the growing standard for hotel fitness, proving that even smaller footprints can support meaningful training experiences when space is maximised with purpose and performance in mind.

Dual Purpose Performance: Science in Sport

Science in Sport needed a facility that could do more than support training. It had to function as a daily staff gym, an athlete performance hub and a professional content studio for both the Science in Sport and PhD Nutrition brands. With a six week turnaround, the focus was on efficiency, customisation and creating a space that visually aligned with the brands’ high performance identity.

Key Features

  • Custom Inlaid Lifting Platforms

  • Custom Agility Turf

  • 1 Series Compact Rack with Cable Columns and attachments

  • Utility Bumper Weight Plates

  • Adjustable Seal Row Bench

The finished gym supports an impressive range of training styles, from cycling and endurance work to HYROX, CrossFit and powerlifting. Its flexible layout allows athletes and staff to move seamlessly between strength, conditioning and functional sessions, while the tailored branding ensures the space is camera ready for content capture at any time.

Client Insight

Ben Davidson, Head of Marketing at Science in Sport, described the new facility as “really high spec,” emphasising how BLK BOX “turned last minute requests around rapidly” and delivered ahead of schedule. He noted that the shared focus on creating “the highest quality products” made the partnership feel natural, with the whole process running smoothly from start to finish.

Calm Performance Design: The Grounding at Mason and Fifth

The Grounding forms part of a wider wellness destination inside Mason and Fifth, bringing together strength, movement and recovery in a refined, design-led environment. The goal was to create a space that supports performance without the noise or intensity often associated with traditional gym settings. The result is a calm, elegant studio where strength work and restorative practices sit side by side.

Key Features

  • Custom Dark Taupe Foundation Rolled Floor

  • Custom 3 Series Compact Rack with Smith Machine and integrated storage

  • Premium Urethane Dumbbells with custom racks

  • HD Bumper Weight Plates

  • Hyperice integration

The Grounding blends architectural detail with high performance capability, supporting strength training, mobility work and small group sessions while maintaining a serene, clutter free flow. The gym sits naturally alongside Mason and Fifth’s wider wellness facilities including pool, sauna, steam rooms and treatment suites.

Project Insight

Chris Hull, BLK BOX Business Development Manager, explained the vision behind the project, noting that “a performance space does not have to be loud or intimidating.” He described The Grounding as proof that “strength, recovery and clarity of design can work together in a really natural way,” creating a setting where both training and wellness feel seamlessly connected.
