The BLK BOX Curl Bar has been designed to eliminate stress on the wrists and elbows. The curves on the bar have been specifically angled to give your wrists and elbows a more natural position, this will help reduce strain on your wrists and elbows. The bearings on each of the bar sleeve allow for a quick spin making it perfect for curling exercises such as bicep curls, tricep extensions and more.

The bar has been built to withstand your most challenging workouts with a maximum weight capacity of 250kg. A proven favourite of body builders everywhere, the curl bar isolates and intensifies the development of the biceps and forearm muscles, while the smooth spin ensure the force is felt in the athletes biceps, and not their wrists.

*Please note that the 816mm space between the sleeves means that the bar is NOT rackable*

To keep your Curl Bar in pristine condition and free from chalk and dirt, use the 360° Barbell Brush, a must have for any barbell owner, available with either nylon or stainless steel bristles to suit all barbell finishes.

We aim to dispatch and deliver all in stock items within 2-10 working days depending on your location in the UK & Ireland.

What plates is the bar compatible with?

The BLK BOX Curl Bar – 9kg is compatible with all BLK BOX Weightlifting Plates and Bumpers, along with all change plates and collars.

How many plates can it hold?

This will depend on which plates you own, but for comparison, with its two 180mm sleeves the BLK BOX Curl Bar can hold the below when used with lock jaw collars:

BLK BOX Blackout Bumper – 70kg

BLK BOX Impact Bumper – 40kg

BLK BOX HD or Colour HD Bumper – 100kg

BLK BOX Competition Plate – 120kg

How durable is the bars finish?

The BLK BOX Cur Bar – 9kg features a hardened chrome finish, offering a high level of corrosion resistance and durability while allowing the athlete to feel the knurl. We recommend regular cleaning of the bar using a barbell brush.

Why are bearings important?

Bearings are introduced into barbells to ensure a smooth and/or fast spin when performing complex weightlifting movements. This spin reduces the force exerted on an athlete’s wrists during these movements. When performing bicep curls or similar exercises, bearings are very important to ensure the force is felt through the athletes’ biceps, and not their wrists.
