Designed to the specification of the International Powerlifting Federation (IPF), the Power Bar is the strongest bar in the BLK BOX range. Featuring 210 kPSI steel shaft, the bar offers superior rigidity with virtually no whip, making it perfectly designed for the three powerlifting competition lifts – the squat, bench press and deadlift.
The Power Bar features a 29 mm grip-diameter coarse knurl, designed to improve your holding power on the bar. Ensuring a strong grip and allowing athletes to focus on their lift. Single IPF specified knurl marks allow repeatable hand placement and an included centre knurl extra grip, perfect when squatting.
With thinner collars, the Power Bar offers an increased loadable sleeve length, allowing each athlete to load more plates on than any other bar in the BLK BOX range. Bronze bushings allow minimal spin while maintaining strength and stiffness, and the hardened chrome finish strikes the perfect balance between durability, and allowing the athlete to feel the deep knurl of the bar.
The BLK BOX Power Bar is the ultimate 20kg barbell for serious lifters & training spaces, where accuracy, performance, & reliability is vital.

How durable is the bars finish?
The BLK BOX Power Bar features a hardened chrome finish, striking the perfect balance between durability and allowing the athlete to feel the harsh knurl of the bar. We recommend regular cleaning of the bar using a barbell brush.
Why are there no bearings?
Bearings are introduced into barbells to ensure a smooth and/or fast spin when performing functional or Olympic weightlifting movements. This spin reduces the force exerted on an athlete’s wrists during these movements, but as such adds some instability to the bar. If you’ve ever experienced the weight wobbling in your hands during a bench press, it’s likely you were using a bearing bar. With no need for weightlifting movements the Power Bar has been optimised for stability and strength and as such the more measured spin of a bushing has been used.
