From Scotland to New York: How BLK BOX Gym Design Fuels Golf's Biggest Stages
We’re proud to have designed and delivered performance gyms for two of golf’s most iconic events: the DP World Tour Scottish Open and the Ryder Cup in New York. At BLK BOX, we believe performance starts with the environment you train in - and we’re helping the world’s best golfers perform at their peak.
The Scottish Open Gym
Held at Renaissance Golf Club, the Scottish Open featured a purpose-built gym including:
- Integrated racks and cables
- Trap bars, safety bars, Olympic platforms
- Keiser spin bikes, recovery tools, and mobility zones
Strength Coach Dan Coughlan called it "a perfect space that meets every player’s need," while pros like Dylan Frittelli hit heavy workouts ahead of competition.
The Ryder Cup Facility
For the 2025 Ryder Cup, we shipped and installed a full spectrum of performance kit, including:
- Belfast Bars, Hex Bars, and 1 Series Half Racks
- Full dumbbell/kettlebell ranges
- Slam balls, balance tools, mats, bikes, recovery gear
- Custom storage and organisation systems
Designing for Golf Performance
Today’s elite golfers rely on strength, mobility, and recovery to stay sharp. Our gyms are built with:
- Flow-optimised layouts
- Modular and scalable rigs
- Purpose-built recovery spaces
- Sport-specific equipment selection
