Frequently Asked Questions about our Tib Developer Bar

What does a Tib Developer Bar do?

A Tib Developer Bar is designed to strengthen the tibialis anterior, the muscle along the front of your shin. By allowing you to perform weighted tib raises, it helps improve ankle stability, balance, and foot control, which can enhance your running, jumping, and squatting performance.

Are Tib Developer Bars good for shin splints?

Yes, Tib Developer Bars can help with shin splints. By strengthening the tibialis anterior muscle along the front of your shin, they improve lower leg strength and ankle stability, which can reduce the strain that often contributes to shin splints. Incorporating controlled tib raises into your routine may help prevent shin splints and support recovery by addressing muscle imbalances that can lead to discomfort during running and other activities.

What muscles does a Tib Developer Bar work?

The Tib Developer Bar primarily targets the tibialis anterior on the front of your shin, but it also engages the ankles and feet, improving lower leg strength and stability.

Is a Tib Developer Bar suitable for runners?

Yes, it is excellent for runners, as strengthening the tibialis anterior can help improve running mechanics, reduce shin splint risk, and support better foot control.

How often should I use the Tib Developer Bar?

For most users, 2–3 sessions per week is effective for building lower leg strength and helping with shin splint prevention without overloading the area.

Uncomfortable

Not so happy with it. Should have went with come form of cushioning. When on feet is uncomfortable and painful with high her weights - doesn’t a lot me to focus on the “work”. Not as snug a fit as it should be. May continue with other makeshift solutions.

very good but missing some padding.

so happy these are available from a good company not based in America finally. though worth noting, when taking the weight heavier it really digs in to the top of your foot, i threw some knee sleeves over and that plus some good thick trainers worked at allowing me to take the weight up to 15kg from 10kg.
a bit of a padded sleeve would go a long way on a version 2.0 but dont let it put you off still a lovely bit of kit for athletic performance.

Would not recommend.

Very disappointed with this equipment! When using the bar the weight plates start to slide down and eventually off the bar itself. I have used multiple collars and the same thing happens. I also have multiple barbells and specialist bars I frequently use with various collars and never have this problem. It must be a design fault in that the bar itself is too thin. Considering this is a relatively simple piece of kit and it costs £100, I expected a lot more. I would like to request for Blkbox to send me a new one that actually works.

Does the job. However, you need Olympic size weights. It would get 5 stars, if it was adjustable for any size of weights.
