Fora has built its reputation on reimagining the workplace, creating design led environments that offer more than just a desk. Its Thomas House location in London reflects this, combining industrial character with a strong creative atmosphere, tailored for businesses that expect more from where they work.
That sense of “more” extends to wellbeing. The inclusion of a thoughtfully designed gym space plays a key role in the overall experience, supporting both physical health and the wider lifestyle of those working within the building.
To bring this space to life, we worked with Fora alongside Manor, creating an environment where members can push their performance while feeling part of something bigger.
The Vision
For Manor and Fora, this was about more than just equipment. The vision was to create a high-performance training environment that feels purposeful, authentic and built for real training.
The facility was designed around three distinct zones: strength, conditioning and boxing. Each space plays a defined role within Manor’s programming, allowing sessions to run with clarity and flow while meeting the demands of group training at scale.
Equally important was the look and feel. Fora wanted to move away from the typical polished workplace gym and instead create something that reflects its identity. The focus was on raw, performance-led design that feels considered but never overworked. Every detail contributes to an environment that supports effort, energy and consistency.
The Build
The space is structured around three dedicated zones, each designed to support a specific style of training while maintaining a consistent look and feel throughout.
A wide range of equipment was finished in a clear coat, exposing welds and grinder marks to achieve a bold, industrial look. This approach gives the facility a distinct character while reinforcing Manor’s identity within the Fora environment.
The space is structured around three dedicated zones, each designed to support a specific style of training while maintaining a consistent look and feel throughout.
Strength
The strength zone is built to support structured lifting within a group training environment. The layout allows multiple users to train at the same time without disrupting flow, striking a balance between individual performance and group efficiency.
At the centre of the space are the 1 Series Compact Nexus Racks with connecting storage, providing a versatile setup for cable work, barbell lifts and pull ups. This is supported by Black GripX HD Bumper Plates, Belfast Bars, Hex Bars, a range of cable attachments and Adjustable Benches.
Together, it creates a complete strength training setup that is both functional and efficient, designed to handle the demands of high-performance group sessions.
Conditioning
Built for intensity and movement, the conditioning zone is designed to support fast-paced, high-energy sessions. The layout prioritises efficiency, allowing users to transition seamlessly between exercises while maintaining the pace and structure of each session.
At the core of the space are 5 Series Half Racks with connecting storage, providing a flexible base for a wide range of movements. This is complemented by Big Ass Storage, keeping wall balls, slam balls and hex dumbbells organised and easily accessible.
The zone is further equipped with Concept2 ergs, 3-in-1 Soft Plyo Boxes, Power Bands, custom Wall Mounted Wall Ball Targets, benches and barbells. Together, these elements create a dynamic training environment that supports varied, high-output conditioning work without compromising flow or functionality.
Boxing
The boxing zone brings a different energy to the space, focused on skill, conditioning and output. It adds variety to the overall training experience while still aligning with Manor’s structured approach, creating a well-rounded facility that caters to multiple training styles.
The Result
The finished space brings everything together. Performance, identity and experience all working in sync to create a facility that goes beyond expectations. What started as a clear vision has been realised in a way that not only supports Manor’s structured programming but also enhances the wider workplace environment within Fora.
Each zone plays its part, but it is the cohesion across the entire space that stands out. From the raw, industrial aesthetic to the considered layout, every detail contributes to an environment that feels purposeful, energising and built for real training. It is a space designed to be used, not just seen.
Chris Hull, Business Development Manager, who played a key role in bringing the concept to life, said, “From concept to execution, it’s been incredible to see how innovation and passion can transform fitness environments into hubs of energy and community. Working alongside such visionary partners has been an absolute pleasure, and I’m thrilled with what we’ve accomplished together.”
